They Can’t Touch You

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28
Props: metal bowl, egg and hammer
Before the service, turn the bowl upside-down on top of a table and place the egg under the bowl. Display the bowl as you begin to speak, but do not show the egg.
In some places, people have a hard time having courage to believe in and live for God because there are people around them who kill Christians. The Bible tells us to have courage no matter what people may do to us. (Begin to lightly pound on metal bowl with hammer). They may call you names, take what belongs to you or even hurt you. But there is only so much they can do to harm you. The real you is on the inside. (Lift bowl and display egg). You are totally protected by God. No one can ever touch your soul. No one can ever take God away from you. There is no need to fear when you are in God’s hands. No person could ever take you out of His hands or keep you away from Heaven. Courage is facing trouble without running away. It’s a lot easier to face trouble when we know that our soul is in God’s hands and no one can ever change that.
